Final Project - Infographic Video Animation
For our final project, we were to choose a topic and create a informational
video based around that topic by also considering:
● Organization Principles – LATCH and Content Organization
● Aesthetic Principles – Animation principles
● Cognitive Principles – Principles of visualization

● Cognitive Principles – Principles of visualization
In the first week, we formed a group and decided on a topic which would
be music. We did some initial research on some popular music albums,
mostly on why they were trending and the cultural influences that come
from them.

We ended up choosing 3 albums to proceed with, with them being: Brat by Charli XCX, Piss in the Wind by Joji, and Hit Me Hard And Soft by Billie Eilish. We set on the topic "popular albums within Gen Z" with Mr. Fauzi. We also decided what art style to use.

We wanted to use these cat memes in our project since they seemed to be having a resurgence amongst Gen Z at the moment.

After finishing up the slides, I drew up a short storyboard to show Mr.
Fauzi.

Mr. Fauzi suggested adding in music videos as well to the animation to make it more enjoyable to watch.
After finalizing, we started work on Canva, since there was a way to make
animations on there. I was made the section on Joji's album, Piss In The Wind.

We ended up finishing the animation pretty fast, but we received feedback from Mr. Fauzi who said it felt too much like a slideshow at the time, so he advised us to resize some images, and move them around to make the video composition and flow better. I was the one who did the first pass of the recomposing and then passed it through my teammates.

After we presented our slides and the video, Mr. Fauzi suggested adding our
credits to the end of the video and animation for future prospects, as well as
the Taylor's logo to show where the video came from.
He also suggested adding video presentations to the slides, mainly due to Sue
Anne doing it first since she couldn't present with us at the time and he
thought it was a nice way to present the slides. He also suggested adding
charts for marketing purposes.

REFLECTIONS
During this project, I should have communicated with my team more, I was keeping to myself a lot, outside of times where they would initiate conversation first.
Besides that, the project was enjoyable. The loop of working on the project, receiving feedback from Mr. Fauzi and using that feedback to improve upon our project was very helpful. I was able to also gain a better understanding on the workflow in making an animation, especially since I was working in a team that was cooperative.
I was also able to enjoy doing work on the project through my part of the work. we each chose our own album to do research on so I had fun doing research and talking about Joji in the video and slides. I found myself looking online for videos to reference when making the storyboards for the animation.
Overall, this project helped strengthen my skills in compositioning and animation since we needed to make a video that was engaging and easy to follow. This will help me in any future work I can apply these skills to. I am also grateful to Mr. Fauzi as he was only helpful towards me and my team during the entire duration of the project.
