Digital Photography and Imaging/ Bachelor of Design (Honours) in Creative Media

This is our final project which involves creating a video using the techniques we have learned during this semester. It's self-titled so we have the freedom to do more or less anything we want as long as it stays within the few given rules. 

We were given a photoshop file and video tutorial to learn how after effects works. We were to use the given file to experiment and explore more about the app. The video tutorial given was just to teach us the basics of after effects.

I drew an initial sketch for what I had in mind for the short and later tried to replicate it best I could in photo.

I recreated the pose best I could and took a picture of myself.

I added some drawings in to make the image more interesting.

I then animated the poster in after effects and uploaded it to YouTube as a short.

We were also tasked with our first task which was composing an image with magazine cutouts. Week 2:  Since the air conditioning still isn't running, our class was cut short. We were taught on the rule of thirds that we could use to make our images easier to look at and how to use it to our advantage while composing the image. We had to make a shot list, draw up a storyboard, film everything, and edit together a short video and we needed to use one kind of visual effect in the video. I was grouped up with Racheal for this Project. I made the shot list and storyboard for the video. After a few consultations with Mr. Martin, we made the story for the video better.
